Do you like playing games? Do you like learning things? Wait, don't go! Come back! Seriously, these games are actually pretty fun and they don't hit you over the head with the education.

Ayati

Created with the assistance of UNICEF, Ayati is like the Sims, except your family are poor farmers from Haiti (Ayati means Haiti in the native Creole language). You have to lead your family through four years of life, keeping them fed, happy and hopefully bettering their lives through education. It isn't easy, I have yet to have the family not die of cholera by the third year.

Stop Disasters!

From the Sims with poor Haitians, to Simcity in a disaster zone. Stop Disasters! puts you in the role of an adviser from the UN/ISDR (International Strategy for Disaster Reduction). In this game you are trying to prevent massive destruction from one of many different kinds of disasters, flood, tsunami, earthquakes etc. You have 25 minutes to prepare a town to protect it from damage and loss of life. You have a set budget and have to spend wisely, or the town will suffer and you will be fired in disgrace. Do you have what it takes to...STOP DISASTERS!?
