The Pickering Public Library has partnered with Service Canada, a government-run information initiative, to bring you government information as quickly and conveniently as possible. A Service Canada representative will be available at the Central Library every 2nd Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to offer the following services:
- Employment Insurance inquiries and reporting
- Social Insurance Number registration
- Canada Pension Document certification
- Pleasure craft licensing
- Assistance filling out government forms
- Information on many other federal programs and services
When the Service Canada representative is not on duty, a direct phone line to government offices is available as well as Library staff who are familiar with government information.
Service Canada staff will be at the Central Library on the following dates in April:
- Tuesday, April 1st
- Tuesday, April 15th
- Tuesday, April 29th
