New eAudiobook Collection from Netlibrary
Pickering Public Library is pleased to announce a new and exciting collection from Netlibrary, the Netlibrary eAudiobook collection. This collection of 761 electronic audiobooks includes a full range of fiction and non-fiction titles. Perfect for those who prefer to listen rather than read good quality books.
All that is required to listen to these eAudiobooks is a computer (eg. Windows XP/Vista with Windows Media Player 9) OR a portable audio device that supports the Windows Media format. Unfortunately, iPods are not supported. Please read over Netlibrary's eAudiobook FAQ and other help links located on every download page.
Simply click on the "eAudiobooks" link from the Netlibrary search page to get started, or browse the subjects. Once you're at the results list, click Show Details to read a plot synopsis or listen to a preview clip. You will be required to create a free Netlibrary account to checkout eAudiobooks (a Netlibrary account is free and is a one time only requirement).
Please also note that only one copy of each eAudiobook is available through a province wide library consortium. If a particular title of interest is "checked out" to someone else, please choose another title. There is also a feature that can email you when the book is available but it is still first come, first serve.
