The Fairy and the Witch

I took a book from the library shelf and noticed that there was something stuck on the shelf behind it. It was a fairy. She was small and had a red dress. I asked her what her name was and she said “Pearl”. A wicked witched escaped from a fairytale book and cast a sticky spell on her. Pearl needed my help because the wicked witch took her wand. Pearl told me the witch was hiding in a Halloween book. I carefully pulled Pearl off the shelf and I took her to the water fountain to wash off the sticky stuff. I dried her off with my shirt and put her in my shirt pocket. I was careful so no one would see her. Then we found the librarian and I asked her for all the Halloween books. She seemed surprised because it was the middle of March! I carefully looked through a big pile of Halloween books and found one book with sticky pages. We knew that we were close because the sticky spell was also on Pearl’s wand. I turned a page and saw the witch. She tried to run away into a haunted house, but I caught her and took the wand. I gave Pearl her wand back and told the witch to be nice. Pearl cast a promise spell with her wand on the witch so she was always nice. Pearl thanked me for my help and asked if she could live with me and I said, “Yes”. The witch went to live in the cookbook section. I am happy that I made a secret fairy friend at the library.

The End.
