Pickering Public Library welcomes cyclists from Great Waterfront Trail Adventure
Overnight Sunday/Monday July 4th/July 5th, do not be surprised to see cyclists camping in the Esplanade Park behind the Central Library. These cyclists are part of the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure, an eight day bicycle ride along 720 km of our Waterfront Trail. They will be starting out in Hamilton on Sunday and are expected to arrive at the Central Library in the late afternoon. After camping out Sunday night, they will be getting an early start Monday before they ride to Cobourg to complete their next 105 km. We wish them good weather and a great ride, as they promote an active lifestyle and the communities and businesses they will travel through.
To accommodate this event, there will be Temporary Road Closure of Esplanade South Monday July 5th between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. If you would like more details, please see the Notice of Service Disruption.
