At the Central Library:
Tuesdays from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. July 6th - August 17th

Are you wild about books and reading? If so register for the Library's weekly kid's book club. Kids bring in books they have read over the last week and share them with the club, Library staff will share some of their favourites and then it is on to book-related games and activities.
Registration begins June 26th at 9:30 a.m.

Drop in to the Pickering Library’s Outdoor Reading Room.

There’s nothing quite like sitting outside in the summer and reading a good book; that’s why your Library will be offering an Outdoor Reading Room this summer. For three Monday afternoons in July and August, you can join the Pickering Public Library out in the gazebo in the Esplanade Park, where staff will have a collection of summer reads that clients can check out and take home as well as chairs for those who want to sit in the shade and read.

YMCA Employment Counselling

Receive employment counselling from the YMCA. These one-on-one sessions will allow you to get help on all aspects of job seeking. Registration required. Sessions are available by appointment only.

There will be a gaming system set up on the big screen - come see what we have to play. There will also be board games, card games, chess, and more. Bring your own or try one that the Library has available. All ages welcome.

Make a craft and then follow the clues to find each animal hidden throughout the Library jungle. Parents or caregivers are required to attend, so please register with your child.
