A challenge for all those who want to prove they are the HALO 3 champion of Pickering. We will be having a tournament where you can compete with other gamers and prove your skills in head to head FPS action. Come and battle on our big projection screen
Refreshments will be served and there will be other activities to keep you amused when you aren’t blasting up other virtual warriors.
Registration is required. To register, pick up a form from the library, or print out your own form and hand it in.
Registration with a valid Pickering Public Library card is required. Registration forms can be picked up at the Information Desk at the Central Library, or online.
Please register by May 1st.
Teens will be allowed to attend with parental permission.

This hands-on seminar will teach you use group mailing lists, create newsletters in text or HTML, insert hyperlinks and pictures, and understand legal and moral obligations related to electronic newsletters.

Representatives from ServiceCanada will be at the Library to highlight government services aimed at seniors and answer any questions you may have about programs like Old Age Security Pension, Guaranteed Income Supplement, or the Canada Pension Plan.
Also, the Durham Community Legal Clinic will provide information on wills and powers of attorney.
At the Central Library:
One-on-one business counselling is available at the Central Library for those who are interested in opening or growing a small business.
These sessions are presented by the Business Advisory Centre Durham, the City of Pickering, and the Pickering Public Library.

This session will teach the basics of using a mouse to interact with the computer. A variety of exercises will help you practice this important skill.

Session Two: Basic Skills.
This session will introduce skills such as opening programs, opening and saving documents, basic word processing.
A valid Pickering Public Library card is required for all computer training sessions.
