Women's Discussion Group

This Fall the Library is starting a new discussion group just for women to talk about the issues of the day, meet with other women, and have fun! This group meets monthly. Registration is required.

Non-Fiction Book Club

From Biology to Biographies, Philosophy to Paleontology, it’s all entertaining non-fiction. This book club is for those who like to learn as they read, but still enjoy a good story. Snacks are provided. Registration is required.

AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases are a risk to any adult regardless of age, race, or sexual orientation. However, HIV surveillance shows that 11 % of all new AIDS cases are in people over the age of 50. The AIDS Committee of Durham Region is here to provide a frank discussion on safe sex, along with an introduction on HIV and AIDS.

reading from their latest mystery novels. Copies of their books will be available for purchase. Registration is required.

Dance with the Mood Swing Orchestra

This twenty-two piece swinging orchestra will rock the library with great hits. This band is comprised of zoomer
musicians in their prime. Dancing is encouraged. Warning! It’s going to be loud. Registration is required.

One Book One City: Robert Rotenberg Author Reading

The Pickering Public Library is proud to wrap-up its first ever reading program for adults. The book that kicked off this annual program was “Old City Hall” by Robert Rotenberg. Well, he is finally here! The author will read from his
