Star Wars and Lego? Woo Hoo!
Ahh, The Original trilogy. Long before George Lucas went crazy and decided to destroy my childhood, Star Wars was a fond memory.
Now, watching it, I can't help but be struck by how the recent additions to the series turn Obi-wan into a crazy liar. For Example:
Obi-wan: I don't recall owning a droid.
Me screaming at the TV: YOU OWNED THOSE TWO PARTICULAR DRIODS! FOR YEARS! WHY LUCAS WHY? WHY DO YOU HATE MY CHILDHOOD SO?
Ahem, but I digress.
This game is a good, fun platformer, lots of action, good puzzles, and the Lego Block art style and game play mesh well with the subject matter. There are numerous comedic moments that actually had me laughing out loud. You can "complete" the game in less than 20 hours of total gameplay, but there are numerous extra tasks to be completed after you have cleared each mission. Add in dozens of Lego Star Wars characters to play with and there is a lot of replay value.
I give this game 3 Thumbs Up and one Huzzah for Childhood memories!
I loved the previews for this game! It looked so bizzarley cute; it's good to hear someone thought it came out good! I'll have to check it out.
